Loving Memory of Judi Ketchersid
1945-2012

Judith Corvin "Judi" Ketchersid, age 67, of Athens, was welcomed
into the loving arms of her Savior on Thursday morning, August 30,
2012 after suffering severe brain injuries from a fall down steps at her
home in Athens on August 18. Judi was born in Bristol, VA. She graduated
from the Georgia Baptist School of Nursing in 1966 and became an RN and
worked for many years at Georgia Baptist Hospital in Atlanta. In 1980,
she and her husband Bob answered the call of God to serve as
missionaries with Trans World Radio on the Caribbean Island of Bonaire
for 6 years. Judi was a staff nurse and hosted a weekly radio program
for women. In 1986, she and Bob moved to Athens and became part owners
of WYXI RADIO, where she served as corporate secretary. Judi also worked
as an RN at Woods Memorial, Athens Regional, Parkridge and Parkridge
East hospitals. Four years ago she became a Family Nurse Practitioner
and was working at the Cherokee Health Systems Clinic in Englewood. She
also assessed hospice patients for Caris Healthcare.
